Fully automated deli. You order at the touchscreen kiosk and then a monitor tells you where your sandwich is in the queue. Interesting way to do it.
And the sandwich which I presume was made by a human in the backroom was actually pretty good. It was pretty funny, however, when my sandwich mysteriously disappeared from the board. But I was assured that it was still in process.

Voodoo donut Portland. This place has been on tons of TV shows and there was a line out the door. Interestingly, it was pretty awesome. Some places like this are popular more because they’re a “thing” than for the actual product they produce. In this case the donuts were really very very good. The dough was a perfect consistency and the toppings and shapes were more than just a gimmick. The maple bacon donut was actually really very delicious. The bacon was super thin and very crispy. The maple glazing was a great consistency and had perfect flavor. The staff in the store despite the tatoos, piercing, and throngs of tourists (and locals) were really friendly and gave good suggestions on what to try. The chocolate covered donut with rice crispies and peanut butter was not as good as the maple bacon. A colleague of mine had a devil’s food with chocolate. It was a smaller donut and he said it was like eating a cake.
